April Monthly Meeting

 Our monthly membership meeting on TUESDAY, April 16 is all about getting boats on the water and going paddling, as a club.

* ANNOUNCING UPCOMING TRIPS

      >We have some trips planned in response to a request survey I sent out…day trips, multi-day trips, B.C.. Some trips have dates scheduled. Others are planned but don’t have exact dates yet. Sign up for adventures.

* TRIP PLANNING – PLACES TO PADDLE

     >Brainstorm/share wishes and ideas of places near or far folks would like to paddle.

     >Slideshow of some trip ideas

     >Some handouts of info

* BRIEF ROUNDTABLE ON HOW TO MAKE “INITIATING” A CLUB PADDLE LESS INTIMIDATING

     >Partnering up – coordinate a trip with a buddy to share the tasks.

     >Quick review of club’s very simple responsibility statements of trip coordinators AND all participants.

If you have paddle destinations you are daydreaming about, whether you have started pouring over calendars, charts and current tables or not, come on out. 

We have hundreds and hundreds of years of paddling experience in our community plus all the pool sessions, new Greenland paddles, Ed’s Tides and Currents class, boat upgrades at Trick Your Ride this Saturday (April 13th), the upcoming Symposium and Wilderness First Aid training…time to get pumped for WAKE’s 40th summer.
