Tides and Currents Class – Round two – ZOOM

The Zoom Tides and Currents Class last Thursday was reasonably successful so for those who couldn’t participate last Thursday, let’s do it again this Thursday.  With the guinea pigs last week we discovered a few kinks and hopefully we can smooth those out this week.  If you would like to participate please reply to me.  Free to WAKE members.
Class Description:
Learn common terminology, why tides occur, why tidal currents occur and issues they present to paddlers, why the Salish Sea is unique, and how to use various resources to plan for the tides and currents that you will experience during a paddling trip in the San Juan Islands.  We will cover planning briefly but there won’t be time for an in depth how-to on planning.  Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring dates and times of a trip they would like to plan for.  Free to WAKE members.  You need to sign up prior to class so you can receive the appropriate handouts needed in class.  Contact Ed Alm, ealm@comcast.net to sign up or for more information
