Bowman Bay Paddle
July 15, 2017
Bowman Bay Paddle, Saturday July 15th.
This paddle is offered to WAKE members of all skill levels. The paddle will be tailored to your skill and comfort level and will be governed by conditions we encounter the day of. If conditions allow we can poke our noses into Deception Pass, paddle out to West Point, head out to Deception Island, over to Rosario Head, possibly north along the rocky cliffs towards Biz Point. We of course will stay together as a group. This is a unique opportunity to experience some current and introduce yourself to coastal paddling. Plan on paddling 3 to 6 hours. Distance will range from 5 to 10 miles. All paddlers need to be able to maintain at least 3 miles per hour, have proper sea kayaks fitted with deck lines and flotation. As usual all participants must be equipped with gear recommended for all WAKE paddles.
